What causes people to post comments on web logs?
My first web log post was about coffee and french presses, and my second was a silly post about spare change on my desk, and yet I've had no fewer than 9 comments posted so far. What causes people to say "I want to reply to that"?

French (Freedom) Press
Thanks to a good friend of mine, I have recently discovered the wonders of the French press (a.k.a. press pot a.k.a. "Freedom" press)
There's nothing like the smell of freshly ground Peet's coffee in the morning, and the full flavor extracted by a French press. You can get a French press for as little as $10 - if you're lucky enough to live near an Ikea! Otherwise, you'll spend at least $15-20 at Target. Don't feel like you need to spend $40-50 for a press from Starbuck's - in my opinion, they're no better!
(I should note: My boss, who regularly has at least 4 shots of coffee a day, just pointed out Intelligentsia's Black Cat roast. Though not great for espresso, this roast rocks in the press pot)
